
Weldon W. Edwards (Warren County)

Born: c. 1848 in Warren County, MS
Listed on the 1870 census in Vicksburg with parents F. & Mary Edwards and siblings. Served as a city alderman and deputy sheriff and was on the Board of Trustees for public schools in 1874. Gave testimony for the congressional investigation into the violence during the 1875 election season. In 1880, he is listed as a barkeeper in Warren County with wife Georgiana Johnson, daughter Irene, and mother-in-law Fannie Johnson.
Georgiana is living with her son, Weldon Willis Edwards, as a widow on the 1900 and 1910 censuses.
