The grand jurors of the State of Mississippi, elected, empanelled, sworn and charged to inquire for the body of the county of Lowndes, upon their oath present, that Robert Gleed, late of said County, on the 12th day of November, A.D. 1874, in said County, came voluntarily before the grand jury of said County, empanelled at said term, of said Court, and prior to his examination as a witness before said grand jury, as aforesaid, was duly and legally sworn by C. Hardy, who was then and there foreman of said grand jury, and as such had competent authority to administer said oath; that, after coming before said grand jury, as a witness as aforesaid, and after having been legally sworn, as aforesaid, under the sanction of such oath, the said Robert Gleed then and there gave testimony as to sundry violations of the laws of said state, and after having made certain statements in regard thereto, then and there under sanction
