L. C. MOORE, formerly a colored member of the Legislature of this State from Issaquena county, has been appointed messenger in the Secretary’s office of the Interior Department. While in the Legislature he acted with the Democrats, and was an enthusiastic supporter of Gen. E. C. Walthall, for the U. S. Senate when Senator George was elected.
