John Johnson (Madison County)

Born: November 15, 1842 in Assumption Parish, LA
Painter. Served as a First Sergeant in Co. C of the 4th United States Cavalry. Listed on the 1870 and 1880 census in Canton with wife Priscilla Winters (1851-1928). By 1900, he had moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he lived with Priscilla and their children. Priscilla was a widow on the 1910 census.
