Mr. Moseley in $10 Donation to Roosevelt Fund

George Oliver, principal of the Clarksdale colored schools and chairman of the colored division of Clarksdale’s celebration of President Roosevelt’s 52nd birthday yesterday received a check for $10 from Mr. A. J. Moseley, Clarksdale Lyon planter who is wintering in Sarasota, Fla.

Mr. Moseley in his letter which came with the check complimented Oliver and the colored people of Clarksdale for their interest in the president’s universal birthday party and for their efforts to stage a benefit for the Warm Springs, Ga., fund. Mr. Moseley stated that he believed that the Clarksdale colored folk were the first of the entire South to start such a movement among their race.
