In October of 1875, a man named Julius Allen <a href=\"https:\/\/cwrgm.org\/item\/mdah_803-997-12-06\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote to Governor Ames<\/a> about white men making threats in Yazoo City, mentioning that he had visited the home of Walter Boyd.
