Colored men from all over the country were here attending the meeting of the Colored Men&#8217;s National Protective association. The association took a decided stand against the republican party. The committee on resolutions, composed of E. E. Cooper of this city, <a href=\"https:\/\/much-ado.net\/legislators\/legislators\/hannibal-c-carter\/\">Hannibal C. Carter<\/a> of Chicago and S. L.
