Ex-Senator Gleed, of Lowndes county intends lecturing to the colored people in this [Bolivar] county. He delivered a lecture here last Monday, which was approved by both white and colored. His subject is, we believe, “the intellectual and moral elevation of the colored race.” As there is room for improvement among a large number in Bolivar, and as his subject is far superior to one of a political nature, we commend him to the colored people and bespeak for him the accomplishment of much good.
