OKTIBBEHA COUNTY.

We extract the following from a protest from the citizens of Oktibbeha county protesting against the appointment of Randle Nettles. It is addressed to his excellency, Gov. Stone:

“In the appointment of Commissioners of election we think injustice has been done both the Greenbackers and Republicans of this county. Both parties united in recommending H. A. McCreight, an intelligent honest citizen, and of good standing. The colored man Randle Nettles is well known to belong to the Democratic organization. He has voted with that party for the last three elections, which fact can be substantiated by the said Randle Nettles himself. And as a matter of justice, we ask your excellency to make the change and appoint H. A. McCreight.
