Perry Howard, colored, died at his home at Ebenezer yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock, aged between 75 and 80 years. The death of this venerable man is deeply regretted by all, white or black, throughout the county. He lived a most upright and consistent life, and was held in the highest esteem by every one who knew him. He ever endeavored, by precept and practice, to instill into his children the nobler aims of life and left them the priceless heritage of an honorable and well-spent life as a criterion and guiding star through life. His funeral will be held this afternoon.
