REV. JAMES LYNCH, Secretary of State, and the head of the Northern Methodist Church in Mississippi, was in Raymond on Sunday, and preached in the African Methodist Church. We understand that he says that the Civil Rights Bill was passed by the Mississippi Legislature “not because the colored man desired the society of the white man, for he gets more of that than he wants, when the latter sees an office or a dollar in him.” -[Raymond Gazette.
