The town of Greenville on last Wednesday night was again the scene of riot and disorder, and its peacable citizens again made to witness a subversion of law and decency, by those who hold and bring that law in contempt. Besides the shooting affray at Scott’s saloon, and the affray at Wheatley’s, where J. A. Ross, was quite badly shot, there was a great deal of disorder and noise. The parties creating which as well as the immediate actors should be designated and rigidly punished. [Greenville Times.
