Natchez, Mississippi, has four colored “ministers of the gospel,” duly authorized to celebrate the rites of matrimony. They are Revs. Charles Burce (Methodist), and Revs. George W. Bryant, Jesse F. Boulden and Randall Pollard (Baptist.) The former three are from the old free State, and Pollard, a one-armed man, was formerly a slave of Andrew Brown, Esq., of Natchez.
