Alcorn College.

President Triplett, of Alcorn A. & M. College, accompanied by Prof. George H. Oliver, tutor in the mathematical department of that institution, passed through Vicksburg Saturday evening en-route home. They had been on a brief visit to Jackson. Under President Triplett’s management, Alcorn College is prosperous and successful, and is doing excellent work in giving education and industrial training to a large number of colored youths of the State.
