Judge J. S. Meng offered the following resolution, which was unanimously adopted:

Resolved, That Col. G. F. Bowles is hereby declared to be the choice of the Republicans of the parish of Concordia for Congressman of the 5th Congressional District at the ensuing congressional election.

The following delegates and alternates were elected to the State convention:

Delegates – Hon. David Young, Hon. J. S. Meng, Col. G. F. Bowles, Jos. M. Davis, Esq., and Hon. Anderson Tolliver.
